Independent family run business Carpet Barn & The Bed Store is celebrating a successful start to trading at their new premises on the Nuffield Industrial Estate in Poole, as well as achieving impressive results with their new look website, which has been live for just four months.

Having relocated to the 14,000 square feet premises in May from a smaller unit at Tower Park, Poole, the family run retailer is pleased with how quickly the new store has increased its footfall.

Carpet Barn Director Darren Ironside said of the move, “We took the decision to relocate to bigger premises in Poole as we needed more space and wanted to enhance the flooring and bedding offerings.  We have now introduced a mezzanine section to the unit, which houses our new bed and furniture showroom. More space has also been devoted to the Karndean range of luxury vinyl flooring options as we are the only Platinum Karndean retailer in the South”. 

The store relocation and the launch of our brand new website coincided

The store relocation also coincided with the launch of a brand new website, which offers online visitors easy access to their thousands of flooring and furniture options, as well as some unique features such as floor size calculators and regularly updated special offers.  

“Within just a matter of weeks of going live, we were pleased to see the site was achieving page one rankings on major search engine Google and our online presence is building day by day, helping to cement our position as one of the South’s leading independent suppliers of flooring and beds”.

The long-established local retailer, which has another three stores in Ferndown, Eastleigh and Fareham, is now gearing up for its annual Epic Sale starting at the end of September.

“The Epic Sale is a major date in our diary. It takes place across all four of our stores and is always a busy period for us, with genuine and substantial savings to be made across our whole range” remarked Darren.
